Floor tiles are available in a variety of sizes, textures and designs.  Again here,  natural light in your homes must be given a very important priority when choosing your floor tiles. 

If you live in the first floor apartment of a block of flats, where natural light is not so easily available, then you would be better advised to choose a light coloured tile.  But if you are living in the top floor, then your choice is endless.

But always remember:  a floor must be hardwearing and easy to keep clean. Should you decide on a floor border, always think of spaces that won’t need carpeting in winter – as it would be a shame to cover them up.
